Rebecca Hepplewhite (nee Hewes) performs extensively throughout the UK and abroad. She pursues an international concert diary as cellist of Svyati Duo (with organist Julian Collings) and the Pomegranate Piano Trio (with Andrew West and Fenella Barton). She is principal cellist with the Orpheus Sinfonia, Trafalgar Sinfonia and Belmont Ensemble of London, and also freelances with many of the UK’s other leading chamber orchestras and ensembles. Featured in the Sunday Times Top 10 for her performance of the Elgar Cello Concerto, she has performed all of the major concerto works across Europe, including extensive tours of France, Spain and Ireland. Forthcoming concerto performances include Tchaikovsky Rococo Variations in October and November 2025.

Passionate about new music, Rebecca has commissioned, performed and recorded many new works, and was a featured artist in the Tunnel Trust, Park Lane Group and ROSL concert series'. She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at venues including Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Hong Kong Cultural Center, and has appeared on numerous critically-acclaimed CDs on the Regent, NMC, Chandos and Usk labels. Forthcoming releases include a third album of music for cello and organ with Svyati Duo, available in 2026.
